A private yacht charter in Puerto Rico costs $600–$1,500+ depending on duration and vessel type. Sunset cruises start at $600 for 2–3 hours, half-day charters from $800 for 4 hours, and full-day island excursions from $1,500 for 8 hours — that's as little as $150 per person when split among 10 guests, comparable to a 2–3 hour cruise shore excursion. Yacht charters in Puerto Rico range from $600 for a sunset cruise to $1,500+ for a full-day island adventure. Catamarans, motor yachts, sailboats, and speedboats each have different pricing tiers. Below are starting prices for our most popular packages — final costs depend on vessel selection, group size, and custom add-ons.
Four hours of island-hopping, snorkeling, or coastal cruising. Perfect for a morning or afternoon on the water.
Eight hours to explore Puerto Rico's best islands, reefs, and hidden coves at a relaxed pace with a catered lunch.
A two-to-three-hour cruise along the coast as the sun sets over the Caribbean. Ideal for couples and celebrations.
Multi-day trips, corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties — we design your perfect itinerary.
Six key factors determine your charter price in Puerto Rico: vessel type and size, trip duration, day of the week, season, group size, and add-on services. For context, a full-day catamaran charter at $1,500 split among 10 guests costs just $150 per person for 8 hours of private island-hopping — compared to $80–$150 per person for a 2–3 hour shared cruise excursion. Peak-season weekends carry a premium over weekday bookings, and extras like private chefs or jet skis add to the total.
Larger yachts and catamarans cost more than center-console boats. Choose based on your group size and comfort preferences.
Half-day, full-day, and multi-day charters each have different price points. Longer trips offer better per-hour value.
Weekends and holidays may carry a premium. Weekday bookings often offer the best rates.
Peak season (December–April) sees higher demand and prices. Off-peak (May–November) offers savings and fewer crowds.
Larger groups may require a bigger vessel or additional crew, which affects the total cost.
Premium extras like jet skis, private chefs, photography, and celebration packages are priced separately.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your charter date. We accept credit cards, debit cards, Zelle, and bank transfers.
We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during peak season (December–April). Last-minute availability may be limited for popular dates and larger vessels.
Charters Puerto Rico offers a straightforward, guest-friendly cancellation policy: cancel 48+ hours before your charter for a full deposit refund, or receive a free reschedule or full refund for any weather-related cancellation by the captain. Over 90% of our San Juan charters operate as scheduled year-round. Here is our complete cancellation, weather, rescheduling, and booking policy.
48+ hours before departure: Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled charter date and receive a full refund of your deposit — no questions asked, no processing fees.
Weather cancellation by captain: If your captain determines conditions are unsafe for departure (sustained winds above 20 knots, NOAA small craft advisory, or severe weather), you receive a full refund or free rescheduling to the next available date. Weather cancellations are the captain's call — safety always comes first.
Under 48 hours before departure: Cancellations within 48 hours of your charter are non-refundable, as the vessel and crew have been reserved exclusively for your group. However, we will work with you to reschedule to another available date when possible.
No-show: Guests who do not arrive at the marina and do not contact us forfeit the full charter cost. If your plans change at the last minute, please call (678) 640-4530 — we can often accommodate a same-day time change.
Light rain does not cancel a charter — Puerto Rico's tropical showers are typically brief (15–30 minutes) and often occur in the afternoon while mornings are clear. Your captain monitors NOAA marine forecasts and radar continuously and will adjust the route or timing to avoid weather cells. If conditions deteriorate during your trip, the captain has full authority to alter course or return to the marina for safety. Only sustained severe weather — tropical storm advisories, small craft warnings, or dangerous swells — triggers a cancellation. In that case, you receive a full refund or a free reschedule to your preferred date.

Yes — rescheduling is always preferred over cancellation. If your plans change more than 48 hours before departure, you can reschedule to any available date at no extra charge. For changes within 48 hours, we accommodate reschedules on a best-effort basis depending on crew and vessel availability. Weather-related reschedules are always free and receive priority placement on the next available date.
