Our captains and crew specialize in big game fishing for a range of species that Puerto Rico is known for around the world. Puerto Rico waters are full of Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Kingfish and more. The Atlantic shelf is just off the northern coast of Puerto Rico which is where San Juan is, so great fish can be found within 10-20 minutes out to sea.
San Juan Harbor – The San Juan Harbor is, of course, in San Juan. Importantly, it is in-between historic Old San Juan and Condado. Odds are, if you are staying in San Juan on your vacation, you are staying in one of those two places. If you are anywhere in San Juan, you are less than a 10-minute Uber ride from the marina.
San Juan harbor is convenient and close if you are staying in San Juan. If time is important, this is a great option. We would not recommend this to anyone that gets seasick as the waters off the coast can get big waves. The spring, summer and early fall are ideal for not getting tossed around too much but big fish are in the water all year long.
If you want to visit another island or a beach, we recommend choosing a different destination. San Juan deep-sea fishing is for the adventurist. You do not need to have a lot of experience. The boats are well-equipped, and the crew is ready to train you if you need training and they will handle the lines and do all of the prep work.
This trip is for fishing! That said, you will experience the sightseeing of the most significant monuments in the island, the entire San Juan Bay, the Spanish fort of El Morro, the governor’s mansion of the Fortaleza, and the capitol building.
The crew can also make sure the boat is stocked for a booze cruise, a brunch, a lunch, a dinner or some combination of those! Just make sure you tell your broker what you want to experience.
Which hours/time frame?
You can choose either 4 hours or 7 hours of fishing. Most customers will want to start early in the morning, but it isn’t a requirement with our captain. We can customize the trip to fit your needs.
